5 Designs for a Sustainable Lighting
Through the use of appropriate technology, we can ensure that an object is compatible with the environment. This is not only true but every time we find more examples to prove it. The new technological possibilities open for the world of design new ways to improve the efficiency of their products, to promote energy savings or integrate more than one function in an object.
Each day the diffusion of the technologies are characterized by a low environmental impact. An example of this is the huge relevance that have gained in recent years, those related to renewable sources of energy. But I’m not talking about large tracts of solar panels or wind farms, but small pieces of design, superior design, which are not aimed at making businesses profitable, but to solve everyday problems with efficiency and respecting the environment.
I present some examples of related designs with lighting and renewable sources of energy that combine quality, technology and sustainable awareness.
Energy Bucket
The buckets are no longer only to collect water, also can be planted as collectors of solar energy. This curious lamp, designed by Italian Stefano Merlo, in the shape of a traditional bucket includes a cover finished with solar panels that recharge LED bulbs of 1 KW housed inside the bucket. The best that can be used for any site where there is not enough light, since you can easily move and does not need electricity sockets.
Skylights, by Luceplan
This outdoor photovoltaic flood light devised by Alfedo Häberli employs the latest generation photovoltaic cells placed at the top of the lamp, the most exposed to solar radiation, which are charged during the day and provide light automatically when the sun goes down. This system is available in two versions, floor and wall, both with rechargeable battery LED diodes, without electric cables or electronic power supply. To this, we must add a conscious choice of materials, aluminum for the structure and polycarbonate for the luminescent bodies.
Solar Street Lamp
The Serbian designer Nicola Knezevic has planned a public lighting system based on solar energy and digitally coordinated. The solar energy accumulates in a panel of solar cells, incorporated into the design of the lamppost and managed through the MoSESS system (Multi-Modal Sensor Systems for Environmental Exploration).
But what is truly innovative is that, thanks to the use of a computer network, the system allows you to carry the extra energy to the point where it is needed, given that the street lamps are connected to the grid. In this way you can not only distribute the power according to the needs, but they can even provide for uses different from those of the public lighting.
Best Solar Lights Garden in 2018
You will find a wide range of styles of accent lighting to choose from, from simple, low-profile accessories up to tall varieties and baroque. Whatever you select, make sure that your options complement the style of your home. For example, combines minimalist lights with a modern architectural style and floral decorations and ornate for a whimsical Victorian house or a country house.
When designing your lighting plan, combining a variety of styles of ornamental lighting is often effective, but don’t overdo it. Try to highlight the features of your garden while keeping other areas pleasantly shaded.
For a more dramatic, foci that rub the surfaces can show striking textures, or the lights of shadows and lights in the background can emphasize the shapes and contours. Also remember to make your lighting scheme nice to see from the inside of your home.
If sunlight is strictly functional or highly decorative, your housing needs to be UV stable and airtight. The assembly should be kept to a minimum. In most cases, the solar panel will be an integral part of the light itself. Sometimes, the solar panel is separated, which allows you to mount the light where you need it, and then mount the panel where you will get the best exposure to the sun.
The solar outdoor lighting have a manual switch on / off or a photoresist that turns on the light when the sun sets and turns off when the sun appears again.
Get the Most Out of a Sunlight
The placement of a solar light is of the utmost importance. For maximum solar gain, the solar cell should look toward the south and be placed at an angle so that it is perpendicular to the sun. The surface of the solar cell should not be shaded by foliage or structures at any time during the day. If the light has a sensor for automatic on/off, should not be placed near any other bright light source, such as a lamppost, because it can make the light to turn off prematurely.
Ideas for Solar Landscapes Lighting
Solar landscape lighting can free up creative limitations of electrical cables connected. Lamps placed can align a way for greater visibility. Pockets of solar energy can shed light on the best features of the landscape. Solar landscape lights are environmentally beneficial and can turn night into day in your own backyard.
Solar landscape floor lamps can be placed along the outside edges of a backyard for best visibility and safety. Even a dirt road or one that leads away from all the electrical sources can be lighted with solar lamps. Stake the lamps on the ground during the day to ensure that they are not in a shadow. Without direct sunlight lamps will not be able to light for nighttime use. The lamps should be placed between six and eight feet apart. Place lamps near any risk of stumbling along the path. Wireless solar energy offers you the possibility to change the lighting design without the commitment of underground cables. The lamps can be moved to the best positions if certain parts of the pathway continues to appear dark. A well-lit walkway will illuminate your way to a smaller number of slips and falls.
Landscape Solar Power Lights
These lights will illuminate and show the best features of your garden that would go unnoticed at night if not seen clearly. Small solar spotlights can be placed under the trees and shrubs to illuminate from below. This type of lighting will cast long dramatic shadows through your yard. Foci landscape can also be used to call attention to a flower garden or a favorite sculpture in the courtyard. The spots may be relocated by the patio with ease to offer what is in bloom.
Lighting spots can also be altered for greater security. Projectors can be placed on the edge of the property to send a beam of light along the fence. This will help to create a visual barrier and can provide the additional light for CCTV security cameras.
Ambient Lighting
Large ambient lights as sunlight poles can brighten up a whole patio for an evening event. These solar lights require larger solar panels to power them. Place them in a position that offers a lot of space for both the element of the lighting and the solar cell. Having the sunlight direct the rays to a post will also allow the lights to extend their reach for a greater distance. Dig a hole and cement a back-light of great size in the ground is a commitment more permanent than other types of solar landscape lighting. Test the scope of its light before installing it on the ground. Two or three of these lights can maintain a bright enough landscape for one meal or a night club meeting garden. This option, although more expensive than the majority of the solar options, it still has a lower final cost to run wire of the electrical energy throughout your patio paving decorative design you can enjoy even at night.
